2020/21  Bible Studies

Even If | Habakkuk Study (Daily Grace Co.)
Tuesday   9:30-11:30 am  @ Mary Cox’s home
Leader: Mary Cox (971-281- 0498)
Even If | A Study of Habakkuk is an in-depth, three-week study that goes verse by verse through the book of Habakkuk. How do we praise the Lord and trust Him even when life is hard? What does it mean to trust God when life does not go as planned? This study on the book of Habakkuk seeks to answer these questions. We will learn how to pray when we don't know what to pray, and how to trust when things just don't make sense. We will learn how to rest in God when the anxieties of life threaten to steal our joy. We will learn that God is good and faithful, even if.

Mini Bible Marathons
Wednesday    6:00 - 8:00 pm  @ Michelle Underwood’s home
Leader:  Michelle Underwood (503-358-5857)
Are you desiring accountability to be in God’s Word? If so, please join us for Mini Bible Marathons where we will look at larger portions of Scripture together. The purpose of our time together will be to set aside quality time to drink deeply from God’s Word. We will follow the sweep of themes and interrelatedness throughout Scripture as we identify specific themes and verses that speak directly to us today and then have an opportunity to respond to the Lord. The Word of God is active and living and speaks powerfully if we allow it to. Our desire in these times is to deepen our love for God, for His Word, and for one another as we grow and are transformed through the application of His Word.

B.L.E.S.S. Series
Thursday   9:30 – 11:00 am @ Angie Turner’s home (Childcare Provided)
Leaders: Colleen Schweitzer (503-826- 1914) & Angie Turner (503-789- 0059)
When you've been transformed by God's love, you can't help but want others to experience the same grace and freedom.  But how do you share it without scaring them away or offending them?  For most Christians, "evangelism" is an intimidating word that suggests handing out tracts to strangers or doing other awkward things...But what if there were a more organic, more authentic way to share your faith with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers?  We will learn about five, simple straightforward practices that will alolow any believer to do just that.

Experiencing the Spirit by Henry and Melvin Blackaby
Tuesday (1st and 3rd)  6:30 – 8:00 pm @ the Fireside Room
Leader: Kim Dodrill (503-201-8674)
Jesus says in John 16:7 “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” John 14:26…The Helper will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”  Jesus was excited for the Holy Spirit to come to us, but sadly, the Holy Spirit is frequently misunderstood, leaving believers clueless about who He is and how He works in our lives.  Join us in getting to KNOW Him. He is our helper, comforter, guide, counselor, power, sanctifier, and much more.  He is the life of God in us.  He is our gift.

Thursdays (1st of every month)  7 pm @ the Church
Leaders: Karen Nation (503-250-0669) & Jenna Huff (702-249-0612)
Join us for Table Talk Discipleship as we share hands-on ways to disciple our children and be intentional with them while at home. We will discuss and model practical ways to integrate a relationship with Jesus into everyday conversations.
