MISSION STATEMENT: Nurturing Godly Relationships among Women as We Seek Christ Together.

A message from our Deacon of Women's Ministry - Michelle Underwood:

Warmest of greetings to you from EFBC. I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of the exciting things that are happening for our women at EFBC.

“Nurturing godly relationships among women as we seek Christ together

This is the mission statement for our Women’s Ministry. It is our heart and vision and drives everything we do as we think about activities and events for our women’s ministry program.

I serve alongside an amazing group of women, who are investing their time and energy to provide opportunities that will support and encourage you towards this end. In this video, I share a few of these opportunities that are available to help get you plugged in and growing.

BIBLE STUDIES:

WEEKLY:

I and II Samuel - Mondays 9:00 AM {Start Date: 9-19-22}
Leaders: Colleen Schweitzer (503-449-7874) and Angie Turner (503-789- 0059)
Venue: Angie’s Home

God called Samuel during a most tragic era of Israel’s history, a time of crisis after crisis resulting from God’s chosen people turning away from Him
and going their own way, as people do. As Christians, we are not immune to crisis. Sometimes it’s a result of turning away from God and going our
own way; sometimes it comes without reason or warning. No matter the situation God always invites us to turn toward Him in the crisis. When we do,
we can hear His voice calling us and respond, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” Join us as we learn from 1 & 2 Samuel how to respond to God
in times of trouble. Childcare Provided.

Romans by John MacArthur - Tuesdays 9:30 AM {Start Date: 9-13-22}
Leader: Mary Cox (cell: 971-281- 0498 / home: 503-630-3444)
Venue: Mary’s Home

Join us as we revel in the book of Romans—a masterfully written exposition on God’s grace and the righteousness that comes by grace through faith.
Romans is the foundation of the entire Christian faith and has wonderful truths inside. We trust that you will be encouraged as we walk through this
study with John MacArthur exploring how righteousness comes by God’s grace alone, the truth that God justifies condemned sinners, and the promise
that faith in Christ alone brings redemption.

Bible Marathons – Wednesdays 6:00 PM {Start Date: 10-5-22}
Leader: Michelle Underwood (503-358-5857)
Venue: Michelle’s Home

Are you desiring accountability in God’s Word? Join us as we set aside time to look at larger portions of Scripture together and drink deeply from God’s
Word. We will follow the sweep of themes and interrelatedness throughout Scripture as we identify specific topics and verses that speak directly to us
and then take time to respond to the Lord in prayer. Our desire is to deepen our love for God, for His Word and for one another as we grow and are
transformed through the active and living Word of God.

BI-MONTHLY:

I and II Peter – Tuesday (1st and 3rd) 6:30 PM {Start Date:10-4-22}
Leader: Kim Dodrill (503-201-8674)
Venue: EFBC (Classroom in Children's Wing)

The apostle Peter was a changed man after meeting Jesus and a powerful influence once he was filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. After 30 years
of walking in the Spirit, while he was in Rome, Peter wrote two letters to believers because they were experiencing persecution for living faithfully for
Jesus in a hostile society. Slander and social ostracism (exclusion) and other forms of persecution were common. In his first book, Peter calls believers
to holiness in spite of how they are treated, and in his second book, he warns against false teachers. Come join us as we ask the Holy Spirit to teach us
and encourage us as we live faithfully in our culture.

MONTHLY:

Because She Prayed – Thursday (1st Thursday of Month) 7:00 PM {Start Date: 09-15-22}

Leader: Karen Nation (503-250-0669) and Jenna Huff (702-249-0612)
Venue: Karen’s Home

Prayer is one of our most powerful weapons against the enemy. Join us as we study Because She Prayed by Ashlee Kasten where we will
learn to pray purposeful, scriptural, and intentional prayers for our children.
