Men's Ministry

How Can We Serve You?
Our vision is to see men of God serving their families, church, and community with the individual gifts that they have been given, growing together as the body of Christ under His headship and for His glory.
Our mission is to provide the tools men need to fulfill this vision, facilitating their service by providing spiritual and physical support and encouragement.
Our strategy is to provide:
Spiritual support - prayer for those in need and structures for discipleship
Physical support - connecting men to one another and to existing ministries and helping them to establish new ones
Encouragement - learning, teaching, and fellowship (weekly Bible studies, annual retreat, annual turkey shoot, etc.)

"Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." - Hebrews 10:24-25

Do you spend regular time with brothers focused on walking with Jesus together? Are you interested in a weeknight Bible study and/or other times of gathering for discipleship, accountability, and/or prayer? If you would love to spend some time with brothers, but can't make it to the Saturday morning Bible study or really feel like you need something else, I would love to hear from you! There are a few smaller groups already meeting, and maybe it is time to consider starting something new. Please contact me at (503) 266-6603, or send me an email at

When was the last time you sat down and read straight through a book of the Bible? Have you tried skipping past the chapter breaks and section titles (neither of which was in the original text) without a pause, or looked at what is written as if you had never seen it before? Have you read through one of the epistles like you just pulled it out of the mailbox or digested a Gospel end to end just to hear the good news again?

There are books of the Bible over 100 chapters long, and books that barely cover half a printed page. This month I challenge you to sit down, choose one, and read it straight through. I'd love to hear what God says to you through it!

We are planning to partner with Molalla Nazarene and Canby Foursquare on a work day to help Canby Nazarene with some much-needed building maintenance. Their congregation is mostly older folks who are not able to keep up with the work, so this is our chance to bless our extended church family! We need crew members and crew leaders for the following work: painting, drywall/carpentry, landscaping, and fencing. Childcare and a lunch of homemade lasagna will be provided. Any amount of time is appreciated. For more info contact Dana Wynn at (503) 593-1335 or Canby Nazarene at (503) 266-6626, or meet at 2323 SE Territorial Rd. in Canby.

Our marriages aren't ever going to perfectly reflect God's picture of Christ and the church, but it often becomes even more difficult with the added stress of the holidays. This week my favorite marriage blogger, The Generous Husband, had some good advice that might just help a little. Check out that post and browse a few others while you are there.

Over 30 men showed up for great weather and a great time at this year's Turkey Shoot. Congratulations to Justin Yates on his second first place win! Click here to check out the photo album.

A big thanks to Sandy Sportsman's Club for hosting us yet again. If you would like to brush up on your trap shooting, the range is currently open every Tuesday 1:30-4:30 PM, and 25 targets are only $7. For more information call Dick Jennings at (971) 347-6458.

EFBC Men's Ministry recognizes that the believers who make up the church hold a wide variety of political opinions. However, we also believe that it brings God glory when believers love each other and keep the unity of our faith in spite of our political differences. If this topic raises concerns for you, I would be happy to hear from you about it.

Do you need to take a few hours to kick back, unwind, and enjoy a classic action movie with the guys? Location and movie TBD based on interest. Please text me as soon as possible at (503) 266-6603 if you're in.

Your church needs more ushers, greeters, and people who can serve in the Helping Hands ministry. If you know it's your time to start giving back, email or call the church office: or (503) 630-5325.  Some areas of ministry require a background check.  If you know that you are in need of one to serve, click here to fill out the form.

If there is one thing last year taught us, it is that we need to be well prepared in order to be able to serve our families, church, and community effectively when they need it the most. EFBC Men’s Ministry and EFBC Safety Team are joining forces to develop the resources we need to show the love of Jesus when things go sideways. If you are interested in being part of the core team, please contact me at

If you are interested in more information about EFBC Men's Ministry in general, have an idea to share, or want to be sure you are kept in the loop about something specific, please fill out this form or contact me directly.
I would love to hear from you! Please let me know how EFBC Men's Ministry can serve you, or give some feedback. Is there something we can pray with you about? Please get in touch!

Serving with you,

Dustin Radford
