Men's Ministry

· Our vision is to see men of God serving their families, church, and community with the individual gifts that they have been given, growing together as the body of Christ under His headship and for His glory.

· Our mission is to provide the tools men need to fulfill this vision, facilitating their service by providing spiritual and physical support and encouragement.

· Our strategy is to provide:

1. Spiritual support - prayer for those in need and structures for discipleship

2. Physical support - Connecting men to one another and to existing ministries and helping them to establish new ones

3. Encouragement - learning, teaching, and fellowship (weekly Bible studies, annual retreat, annual turkey shoot, etc.)

Saturdays 7:30-9:00 - Men’s Fellowship Breakfast (In the back room of Eagle Creek Saloon). The Saturday morning fellowship breakfast and wide-ranging Bible study is led by different men each week. In the last four weeks we've talked about Prayer, Pornography, Perseverance of the Saints (can you lose your salvation?), and Private Property. Come to just listen or maybe sign up to lead the conversation yourself some time.

Tuesday Mornings 9:30-11:30
Join Steve Stanley to learn why Amos is a prophet for our day. Sure, this man lived almost 2700 years ago, but as all of Scripture, he hits the nail on the head. Come and see how. EFBC Crusader’s Room

Tuesday Evenings 5:30-7:00
Want to have an answer when friends and coworkers ask tough questions about our faith? Join RJ Turner as he leads through Josh McDowell’s well-known book Evidence that Demands a Verdict: Life-Changing Truth for a Skeptical World. Books provided. EFBC Crusader’s Room.

One Saturday each month we will be driving to West Linn together to join the men of Athey Creek Christian Fellowship for Ironworks with pastor Brett Meador.  Get more information and watch last month’s kickoff here.

One of the biggest plagues that destroys our happiness and rips apart marriages and families is pornography.

Saturday November 20th is the 5th Annual Men's Fellowship Turkey Shoot! This year we are offering a Shooters Intro Clinic from 10am-12pm, Lunch 12pm-12:30pm, and Shooting Competition 12:30pm-3pm. Lunch will be provided on the day of the event and is included in your entry fee. Event fee is $25 per person + $10 if you want to participate in the clinic.

We are capping this event at 35 participants this year, so pre-registration is required. Young men are allowed with a parent or guardian if they have passed a hunter's safety course or equivalent.
You will need to bring a shotgun (unloaded) and 3 or 4 boxes of birdshot/target loads. We will not be canceling if it rains, but if you have a pop up tent we can stand under if it pours let me know. Also we will bring a fire pit or two so if you have some wood and will bring it please let us know. The range has asked that we bring and wear masks when not shooting or eating. Lastly if you have a favorite comfortable camping chair, bring it along.
Address for the Turkey Shoot is:
38425 Highway 211 in Sandy, Oregon. The closest cross street is Bornstedt Road.

This time of year my body automatically goes into hibernation mode and starts trying to put on a few extra pounds (often successfully). With the holidays fast approaching, a few of us have committed to combat this tendency by training for (and completing!) the Holiday Half 5k (3.1 miles) on December 12th. This can be a waddle, walk, jog, or run, but no matter what pace you do it at, you are guaranteed to benefit from it! Click here to sign up before the race fills up, and/or email or text me to get in touch and become part of our training group.

Your church needs more ushers, greeters, and people who can serve in the Helping Hands ministry. If you know it's your time to start giving back, email or call the church office: or (503) 630-5325.  Some areas of ministry require a background check.  If you know that you are in need of one to serve, click here to fill out the form.

If there is one thing last year taught us, it is that we need to be well prepared in order to be able to serve our families, church, and community effectively when they need it the most. EFBC Men’s Ministry and EFBC Safety Team are joining forces to develop the resources we need to show the love of Jesus when things go sideways. If you are interested in being part of the core team, please contact me at

Winter storms are on their way, and that part of serving our families and being a good witness to our community sometimes comes in the form of being prepared. If the power went out for a week, would you be able to show God's love to others by taking care of your family and helping your neighbors? If you aren't sure, now is a good time to take a few steps to get prepared. Here is a short article to get you started.

Serving with you,
-Dustin Radford,
Deacon for Men's Ministry
