Men's Ministry

How Can We Serve You?
Our vision is to see men of God serving their families, church, and community with the individual gifts that they have been given, growing together as the body of Christ under His headship and for His glory.
Our mission is to provide the tools men need to fulfill this vision, facilitating their service by providing spiritual and physical support and encouragement.
Our strategy is to provide:
Spiritual support - prayer for those in need and structures for discipleship
Physical support - connecting men to one another and to existing ministries and helping them to establish new ones
Encouragement - learning, teaching, and fellowship (weekly Bible studies, annual retreat, annual turkey shoot, etc.)

If you want to be more involved this year, a great place to start is a weekly Bible study. New attendees are always welcome, the regular schedule makes it easy to get into a routine, and if you miss a week now and then it's no big deal!

Saturday Morning Men's Bible Studies 7:30-9:00 AM
The Saturday morning fellowship breakfast and Bible study has returned to the back patio area at Eagle Creek Saloon! We will be meeting on the 7th, 21st, and 28th this month (May). Minors are asked to please enter the patio from the back outside entrance to avoid passing through the bar. Come have a cup of coffee and spend some time together!

Tuesday Evenings 5:30-7:00 PM
Join RJ Turner in the Crusader's room as he leads through Josh McDowell’s well-known book Evidence that Demands a Verdict: Life-Changing Truth for a Skeptical World. Call RJ at (503) 970-8807 for more details.

50 men gathered last weekend at Canby Grove for our 2022 Men's Retreat, and we have proof! A plaid contest, ultimate frisbee, go-karts, and bow-drill fire starting were just a few of our activities. Whether you were there or not, check out the photo album here:

Friday, May 27th, 6:00 PM

Kicking back and hanging out around the bonfire with brothers is always a good time. We will be at McAdoo's (26588 S. Morgan Rd.) Friday, May 27th at 6:00 PM. Don't miss it!

Tuesday and Thursday Mornings, 6:00-7:00
If you are interested in joining a group of men for a 45-minute military-style morning workout, outdoors (rain or shine), that wraps up with a "Circle of Trust" and prayer, join us in getting an F3 group off the ground. Click here to learn more about F3. We are currently meeting at the Eagle Creek School. Email or text me ( or (503) 266-6603) if you are interested.

EFBC (Estacada First Baptist Church) and Monaz (Molalla Church of the Nazarene) are joining up for an Independence Weekend BBQ and Softball Tournament July 2nd! Teams will be coed and 16 and up. Practices will be held prior to the tournament (June 25th and TBD). Go to to sign up now.

Father/Son Campout (Spring/Summer TBD)
If you are interested in attending or helping to plan our first hike-in father/son campout this year, please let me know. If this is something you've been dreaming about, this is your chance to help make it what you know it could be.
Father/Daughter Campout (Summer TBD)
We have had several father/daughter campouts in the past, and if you have daughters, you know that special times with them are precious. These have typically been car-camping trips in the local area. If you are interested in attending or helping to plan this year's trip, please get in touch.

Beast Feast (Summer TBD)
Grilling and smoking competition and potluck: cook your best to compete with the rest! More details will be available soon, but it's never too early to start honing your skills. May the best man win!

The Forge (TBD)
Grit... Courage... Sacrifice... Honor... Love... Duty...
What is a man of God? When does a boy become a man? Are you ready to take your place in the line?

Your church needs more ushers, greeters, and people who can serve in the Helping Hands ministry. If you know it's your time to start giving back, email or call the church office: or (503) 630-5325.  Some areas of ministry require a background check.  If you know that you are in need of one to serve, click here to fill out the form.

If there is one thing last year taught us, it is that we need to be well prepared in order to be able to serve our families, church, and community effectively when they need it the most. EFBC Men’s Ministry and EFBC Safety Team are joining forces to develop the resources we need to show the love of Jesus when things go sideways. If you are interested in being part of the core team, please contact me at

If you are interested in more information about EFBC Men's Ministry in general, have an idea to share, or want to be sure you are kept in the loop about something specific, please fill out this form or contact me directly.
I would love to hear from you! Please let me know how EFBC Men's Ministry can serve you, or give some feedback. Is there something we can pray with you about? Please get in touch!

Serving with you,
